Coast Searching for a plane

More than 24 hours have passed since a plane carrying two men left Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and disappeared in the Bahamas on their way to Grenada.

Crews from the U.S. Coast Guard are continuing a search for Travis Compton and Bancroft Nyack, who were reportedly aboard a twin-engine aircraft that went down in an area about 10 miles northeast of Plana Cays, Bahamas at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The plane, a Piper Aztec PA-23, left Fort Lauderdale at 8:02 a.m. and was en route to Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos Islands, according to FlightAware.com, which tracks flights nationwide.
