RTC Personalities

Steven Stubbs
Steven Stubbs, a.k.a. DJST, a.k.a Ladies’ Man was born legally blind in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. He is very unique in that he is the only legally blind DJ in the country, and works hard at it.

“As a little boy I dreamt of being a DJ and was one day inspired by L32, one of my favourite RTC personalities. I got a chance to train with L32 for a day in 2003 and my dream began to unfold. While attending W Ross McDonald in Canada I received more training in this skill and during the summers of 2006 and 2007 RTC had me in studio developing my talent….I just love music and sharing it with the world.”

As a child Steven spent time at the social center in Providenciales until he was about fifteen years old. After his first six years (age eight) at the center he was discovered by Mr. Joe Rich, the President of World One Foundation in New York. Mr. Rich and Steven’s dear friend Ms. Noreen Williams worked on getting him a scholarship to attend a school for blind persons. Ten years later, he was able to take advantage of the opportunity and at age eighteen he attended the W Ross McDonald School for the blind in Ontario, Canada.

Presently, Steven, DJST, Ladies’ Man spends sometime in the studio of RTC and hope to one day secure a job with them. He is persistent, committed and confident. Other than music he is interested in movies and hanging in the company of good friends, especially ‘de ladies dem’.
