Sounds of Sax

Jervon, a native of the Turks & Caicos Islands, developed a keen interest in music during his high school years. His first musical expressions began with the drums, however, he later developed a special interest in the saxophone as a result of his fascination with it's unique shape, size and key arrangement. After just one year of lessons covering basic theory and practice, he became the Tenor Saxophonist for his school marching band. He became famous among the school's faculty and staff, and further, his community at large for his stellar performances at the school's special events.

Throughout the years Jervon continued his performances at special school events, church events, weddings and other private functions.

In 2004 he founded a one man band "Sounds of Sax" and began performing on a professional level. His music is predominantly jazz, but also offers a variety of other flavors such as R&B, Soul, Reggae, Classical, and Calypso.

He has provided musical entertainment for locally hosted events such as: The World Travel Awards, Beaches Star Awards, The Ultra Awards, Ernst & Young cocktail party, National Cancer Society Banquets, Crime Stoppers Banquet, and the Provo Summer Festival. His most recent performance has been at the "Making Waves" reception hosted by the Turks & Caicos Government at the Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan, New York.

His soul stirring, provocative notes can frequently be heard at upscale resorts such as the Amanyara and The Palms, where he is a regular provider of musical entertainment.

Jervon attributes his success firstly to God, secondly to his parents for allowing him to pursue music as an extra curricular activity and finally his wife and daughter for being a constant source of strength and inspiration.
