Track and Field athlete Delano Williams is making history

Williams is among three track and field athletes nominated in the finals for the 29th Commonwealth Sports Awards in the category of Outstanding Young Achiever.

According to information just in from Mrs. Rita Gardiner, President of the local Commonwealth Games Association, the committee contacted her today to advise her that Delano was nominated for the sports award, right up there with Usain Bolt.

Mrs. Gardiner said she sent in the application form three months ago, not realizing the awards committee would nominate him.
